Anxiety is a normal and healthy emotion. It keeps us productive, motivated and enables us to keep ourselves and loved ones out of harms way. We all experience waves of anxiety from time to time. Changes and uncertainty in our relationships, finances or health can cause us worry and stress. However when worry and stress become overwhelming, anxiety can take over and hold us hostage. It's as though our nervous system goes on red alert and anxiety invades every moment of the day. Over time our self-confidence, productivity and interactions become undermined. This kind of anxiety exacts an enormous amount of energy from the body and mind, and yet leaves us unable to get sufficient rest or sleep ... which causes more anxiety ... which creates more worry ... which wreaks havoc on our self-esteem ... and the vicious cycle goes round and round.
Anxiety has been defined as an addicition to negative thinking about the past or future. This two minute video illustrates this point so well. Take a look.
The good news is that you don't have to be controlled by anxiety. You can step off the crazy train and stay home from all the past and future time travel where anxiety festers. I will help you learn how to be with your body symptoms in a way that creates more ease for you, You can discover how to occupy and engage fully with the only moment that truly matters - the moment that is present, now. This is a very powerful and empowering skill set.
